Empathy is what keeps men from becoming MONSTERS.They did it brazenly in front of other prisoners. Nothing but a sheet separated the sound of screaming and the torment of children.
This is how you create your own insurgency.

Do you know of any articles on what happened to the so called "service members" in the photos?

Only a one liner in each of the articles tells of the "punishment” that the same single person got. Many articles propose that white house officials involved in condoning or approving pointless crap like this should come forward and take the brunt of the responsibility. Reality is that this is not going to happen and still wouldn’t punish the real actors in all of this. If someone hires a hitman, the hiring person and the hitman are convicted. If only the hitman is caught, then only he is punished. The same should go here. Punish the actual people known to have acted outside their military role.
It also helps not to hire poorly educated individuals with no experience only working part time to deal with people in any way. England never had the tools to serve in the first place, including intelligence and any moral standing.
England -“Of course it was wrong. I know that now. But when you show the people from the CIA, the FBI and the MI the pictures and they say, "Hey, this is a great job. Keep it up", you think it must be right.”
Nice. No moral compass. The military doesn’t teach morals- you have to bring that to the table yourself. If you’ve got a hollow shell of a person (or group of people) running around with responsibilities, it is only a matter of time before they do stupid crap. Punishing the actors for real would be a good place to start.
