Illinois Lawmakers Approve 66% Income Tax Increase
_____________________________________________________
Tax their land, tax their wage, tax the bed in which they lay.
Tax their tractor, tax their mule, teach them taxes are the rule.
Tax their cow, tax their goat, tax their pants, tax their coat.
Tax their ties, tax their shirts, tax their work tax their dirt.
Tax their chew, tax their smoke, teach them taxes are no joke.
Tax their car, tax their grass, tax the roads they must pass.
Tax their food, tax their drink, tax them if they try to think.
Tax their sodas, tax their beers, if they cry tax their tears.
Tax their bills, tax their gas, tax their notes, tax their cash.
Tax them good, and let them know, that after taxes they have no dough.
If they holler, tax them more, tax them till they’re good and sore.
Tax their coffin, tax their grave, tax the sod in which they lay.
Put these words upon their tomb: “Taxes drove them to their doom!”
And when they’re gone, we won’t relax, we’ll still be after their inheritance tax.

The American Dream
This is a great video, but at the same time it's sad that many people are unwilling are uninterested in something as important as where money comes from unless it's explained via cartoons.
Update: The first video had about 150,000 views in 4 or 5 days, then it was removed by the user. The second video I embeded here was also removed a couple of days later. Here it is for the third time...for how long I don't know. I would like to know what's going on.

Ministers Challenge Rules Limiting Politics In Sermons On Pulpit Freedom Sunday
The pastors, with the backing of the conservative Christian nonprofit, Alliance Defense Fund, planned to challenge what is legally-acceptable speech within tax-exempt organizations in what they called Pulpit Freedom Sunday.
In particular, the pastors planned to test the boundaries of political speech. Since the 1950s, tax-exempt agencies are barred from, among other political activities, endorsing or opposing candidates, or, according to one IRS publication, devoting "a substantial part of their activities to attempting to influence legislation."

What's Up With Social Security?

Many years have passed since that day as a young boy when I put my John Hancock on my new Social Security card. With looping, elementary cursive letters I followed the instructions of the adult presenting the card, and confirmed my identity as a legitimate American citizen. Of course, at the time I had no idea what the card and number actually were.
The card, and the reason I eventually was given as to why it is necessary to have such a number, seemed fairly innocuous: the government puts social security tax money in savings and investments, and in turn provides me with steady income after I retire. As I got older, I began to notice that my Social Security number was required in all sorts of transactions, from opening a bank account to getting a cell phone account to getting a job. So, like anyone who questions authority and never made a lot of money, I wanted to know exactly where that money goes, and why a supposed retirement account number is used by outside agencies for totally unrelated matters.
This subject leads down more than a rabbit hole. It's more like a mirkat or prarie dog hole, with branches and sub-branches and dead ends that are enough to make you stop trying to find your way around and just curl into a ball and weep uncontrollably. The following is a basic summary of observations of the law regarding Social Security, its sources of funding and investment, and its actual use and enforcement by government and various commercial institutions.
Government, out of kindness and concern for our well-being, decided that it would use its impeccable knowledge and record of fiscal wisdom and responsibility to enact Social Security as a retirement program, considered a contract between an individual and the government to volunteer a withholding tax from the individual's wages in return for future retirement benefits. This voluntary contract for working-age adults is pushed on parents of newborns and pre-public school children (who are obviously too young to work or understand and agree to a contract) as a requirement. After being assigned a number, participation in Social Security cannot be terminated without filling out a form declaring that paying into the program is against your religion, complete with church member witness signatures. Employers are not required by law to obtain your Social Security number, but try to get a job without giving it to them and see what happens. There is no law requiring parents to apply for a Social Security number for their child, nor any law requiring an employed person to have one. No business in general is authorized by law to request your Social Security number, although the PATRIOT Act requires financial institutions to provide the Social Security or tax ID number of its customers to the government, in order to check the names against terrorist and fraud/counterfeiters lists. At the same time, businesses frequently do ask for it, and often refuse service if you refuse to provide it. The Social Security Administration says that your number is not to be used as an ID number, and rightly so, since free America has historically been fiercely opposed to the notion of a mandatory identification number, rendering such a number unlawful. Meanwhile, the Social Security card has been stealthily elevated above its legal purpose to become regarded as a secondary driver's license in cases of identification and verification.
A Ponzi or pyramid scheme is described as a fraudulent investment operation that pays returns to investors from their own money or money paid by subsequent investors rather than from any actual profit earned. These schemes are illegal, and persons involved are subject to criminal prosecution. Through investigation and even government admission, the Social Security trust fund has been proven insolvent for years. Goverment "borrowed" the money a long time ago. There is no money other than that taken in by the "voluntary" tax - so, in essence, all retiree benefits are paid out using only the payments from those who aren't retired yet.
Obviously the facts raise several questions. Why do I get a number at birth if it's for working adults? How can a Social Security number be both voluntary and mandatory? Why is the revenue not in trust or investments? Why did I never get to vote on this tax? Why is my employer unaware of the law? What right does government have to presume to know how to plan for my retirement better than I can? Where did the money go? Will I have access to the money I paid into the system? Without a complete shift in public awareness, the truth will continue to be twisted, manipulated and hidden by those who have the most to gain from doing so. In the meantime, suffice it to say 2+2=4. The whole thing stinks.

"Right-wing Extremism" Propaganda pre-dates MIAC Report
"Right-wing Extremism" Propaganda pre-dates MIAC Report
With all the recent fear-mongering regarding pandemics, depressions, and the end of the world in general, it's easy to fall victim to the psy-ops that are intended to keep the masses in a perpetual state of fear and subservience. But just ignoring the government's harassment tactics will ultimately do more harm than good, as will forgetting "old news" of government corruption because of the constant revelations of even more corruption (I think that at the highest levels, the government's intention is that the general public will continue to be hopelessly overwhelmed with never-ending waves of bad news and therefore will give up on being informed or proactive altogether). With that in mind, let's take a look back at some "old news", and attempt to highlight one type of harassment tactic: equating opposing views with extremism. But first, here is what has recently transpired...
An article from Kurt Nimmo on March 12 describes an internal document from the Missouri State Police, after the report was leaked to Alex Jones by an anonymous Missouri police officer:
"Alex Jones has received a secret report distributed by the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) entitled “The Modern Militia Movement” and dated February 20, 2009. A footer on the document indicates it is “unclassified” but “law enforcement sensitive,” in other words not for public consumption. A copy of the report was sent to Jones by an anonymous Missouri police officer.
The MIAC report specifically describes supporters of presidential candidates Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin, and Bob Barr as “militia” influenced terrorists and instructs the Missouri police to be on the lookout for supporters displaying bumper stickers and other paraphernalia associated with the Constitutional, Campaign for Liberty, and Libertarian parties."
http://www.prisonplanet.com/secret-state-police-report-ron-paul-bob-barr...
Although this particular report was retracted after intense public outcry and publicized denouncement by Ron Paul, Bob Barr, and Chuck Baldwin, the MIAC website still retains active and dedicated to it's stated cause:
"MIAC is the mechanism to collect incident reports of suspicious activities to be evaluated and analyzed in an effort to identify potential trends or patterns of terrorist or criminal operations within the state of Missouri. MIAC will also function as a vehicle for two-way communication between federal, state and local law enforcement community within our region."

This type of policy is regarded by some as a relatively new phenomenon, and indeed many are inclined to place blame for the report on current national and world events, more specifically, current government abuse of power. However, this is not the case. Upon further examination of the source and content of the MIAC report, several similarities with previous reports from other agencies and organizations have emerged. In fact the original article by Kurt Nimmo describes one such program:
"The MIAC report is similar to one created by the Phoenix Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Joint Terrorism Task Force during the Clinton administration (see page one and page two of the document). The FBI document explicitly designates “defenders” of the Constitution as “right-wing extremists.” The MIAC report expands significantly on the earlier document."
On March 26, 2009, ALIPAC issued a press release regarding MIAC, which in part stated:
"ALIPAC is issuing a national advisory to all local, state, and Federal law enforcement agencies and officers, along with all DHS Fusion Centers, a warning against any reliance upon faulty and politicized research issued by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and Anti Defamation League (ADL).
A national scandal emerged in Missouri, after their MIAC Fusion Center issued an eight page document which made many false claims. The documents attempted to politicize police and cast suspicion on millions of Americans. The 'Missouri Documents', as they came to be called, listed over 32 characteristics police should watch for as signs or links to domestic terrorists, which could threaten police officers, court officials, and infrastructure targets."

Indeed, the MIAC report and the sources from which it's information is derived is remarkably similar to previous profiling and "intelligence" put forth by other organizations many years ago:
"The Posse Comitatus is an intermittently active, loosely organized group of "Christian Identity" activists dedicated to survivalism, vigilantism, and anti-government agitation. Following the pseudo-religious tenets of the "Identity" movement, Posse members typically proclaim Jews to be the "synagogue of Satan," blacks and other people of color to be subhuman "mud races," and Northern European whites to be the "Chosen People" of Biblical prophecy. The name of the group translates from Latin to mean "power of the county," and the Posse believes that all governmental power is rooted at the county, not Federal, level.
Of course, Nazi-esqe racism is abhorrent, thus the setup here with this particular group, setting the tone for the reader before the rest of the information is given.
"Because Posse members believe that the Federal government is controlled by 'enemies' - often meaning Jews - they resist paying taxes, as well as other duties of law abiding citizenship. Some members of the group have even refused to apply for driver's licenses, because this would imply submission to an 'illegitimate, subversive' authority. Elements of the Posse's ideology, most notably its fierce hostility to Federal authority are echoed among today's militias."

"The Posse Comitatus is a loose association of people who share the same beliefs, a blend of Christian Identity, tax protest, Sovereign Citizen ideology, and common law activism. Posse Comitatus followers believe that the sheriff is the highest legitimate government authority, and that the federal government has no rightful power over American citizens. Therefore, the posse argues, judges, the I.R.S., and the F.B.I. are constantly violating the rights of Americans everywhere. The sheriff (according to Posse adherents) can form a posse of citizens to enforce the law, and if he fails to do so, then the citizenry may forcibly replace him."

START goes on to say:
"These data were collected for the Terrorism Knowledge Base® (TKB®), managed by the Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism (MIPT) until March 2008. START has neither reviewed nor verified these data, but is presenting this information as a service to the homeland security community."
A quick search of MIPTs website produces no immediately obvious connection with the ADL or SPLC. Without further investigation, however, one cannot rule out this possibility.
What then is the real reason why such excuses are made on behalf of the "legitimacy" of these current programs, when obviously fourteen years pre-dates our current wave of "unforeseen" crises? And to what extent does a foreign influence have over American Constitutional law?
