Free health care for everyone is possible, without raising taxes. Cost is not the issue, the government has plenty of money already. The problem is that the thought of sacrificing any corporate and government wealth on such a service is inconceivable to them.
The United States is a Constitutional Republic, not a democracy. Government, however, spends billions of your dollars and thousands of man-hours trying to convince the general public otherwise. Yet, when faced with a situation that can be categorized as an exercise in democracy, the myth of "majority rule" is exposed for the lie that it really is. Government has become one that does not care about the People, only money and power. They make the decisions. You don't.
