Profiteers in the medical CT scan business took a big hit last week from a major new government report on the causes of breast cancer.
Published by the Institute of Medicine (IOM), the health arm of the National Academy of Sciences, the exhaustive analysis found that medical radiation, particularly the large radiation dose delivered by CT scans, is the foremost identifiable cause of breast cancer.[1]

Man-made super-flu could kill half humanity
Researchers in Fouchier’s team used ferrets – test animals which closely mimic the human response to influenza – and transmitted H5N1 from one to another to make it more adaptable to new hosts. After 10 generations, the virus had mutated to become airborne, which means ferrets became ill from merely being near other diseased animals.
A genetic study showed that the new, dangerous strain had only five mutations compared to the original one, and all of them were earlier seen in the natural environment – just not all at once. Fouchier’s strain is as contagious as the human seasonal flu, which kills tens of thousands of people each year, but is likely to cause many more fatalities if released.

Driven By Drug War Incentives, Cops Target Pot Smokers, Brush Off Victims Of Violent Crime
"The availability of huge federal anti-drug grants incentivizes departments to pay for SWAT team armor and weapons, and leads our police officers to abandon real crime victims in our communities in favor of ratcheting up their drug arrest stats," said former Los Angeles Deputy Chief of Police Stephen Downing. Downing is now a member of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition, an advocacy group of cops and prosecutors who are calling for an end to the drug war.
"When our cops are focused on executing large-scale, constitutionally questionable raids at the slightest hint that a small-time pot dealer is at work, real police work preventing and investigating crimes like robberies and rapes falls by the wayside," Downing said.

"Paradox": Federal Workers/Contractors Donate More to Candidate Promising Most Cuts to Government
from The Washington Post:
Bloomberg:
Ron Paul, the presidential candidate who says he’ll shrink government the most, is attracting more campaign cash than any of his Republican rivals from two unlikely sources: U.S. government workers and employees of the biggest federal contractors.
Related:
Military personnel donate more to the candidate who promises an end to most military operations world wide than all other Republican candidates combined, even outpacing the Nobel Peace-Prize-Winner-in-Chief.

Is There No Shame?
It seems that everyone in positions of power across the spectrum of education, religion, finance, and politics are psychopaths, bent upon self-destruction no matter the cost to society or unborn generations. Our nation has degenerated into an egocentric, self-loathing, vain, shallow excuse for a civilization. There is anger flaring up, but it is just as likely to be misdirected and misinformed. The lack of critical thinking skills and the overwhelming effects of media propaganda has so degraded the intelligence of the populace that when the system breaks down in the next few years, the masses will clamor for a savior rather than seeking truthful answers and willingly making the sacrifices required to get our nation back on track. This country will get what it deserves – a despotic ruler and a brutish civilization governed on the basest of principles. This is what happens when a society rewards lying and greed over honesty and compassion. There are consequences to actions and inactions alike. We’ve made our choice.

The U.S. Military Doesn't Fight For Us
Sure, there are many "good" soldiers who believe that their job is to protect and defend their country, their people and the Constitution. But they don't. They fight to protect and enforce the policies of giant multi-national banks, corporations, and the freedom-hating Globalists who run them and who actually despise the laws and values that America was founded upon. War is a racket. To Hell with war!
Conan O'Brien Shows How All Corporate Media is Scripted
Corporate press-release institutions (ABCNNBCBS, and FAUX) are not composed of journalists and don't deal in reporting honest news. They are SCRIPT-READERS. That is, they are if they want to keep their jobs.

Israel Called Biggest Threat to World Peace
America easily takes top honors, followed by Israel, Britain, and France...A new European Commission poll rated 15 countries. Respondents called Israel the biggest threat to world peace. So did past surveys, including a previous 2003 European Commission one.
The Wiesenthal Center whines:
While the European Commission will release the full results of the poll on Monday, the International Herald Tribune reported that the 7,500 people polled living in the European Union (500 in each of the 15 E.U. member states) were presented with a list of 15 countries and asked if these countries present a threat to world peace. Shockingly [sic], Israel was rated first.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Iran is the biggest threat to the United States and its allies in the Middle East, surpassing al Qaeda, which is down but not out, a senior military official said on Friday.

HOW TO TURN THE BLOOD OF OUR CHILDREN INTO GOLD FOR THE BANKERS
by Mike Rivero
1. Nation A and Nation B are at peace, and free of debt.
2. The bankers, aka the money-junkies hire the presstitutes to tell Nation A that Nation B is coming to kill them unless Nation A attacks Nation B first. (Hitler at Gleiwitz, or Saddam's nuclear weapons, as only two examples) Donations are made to candidates who are willing to murder a few million people for a piece of the profits.
3. The money-junkies loan nation A the money to buy weapons to blow up nation B.
4. Nation B says "What the hell is this crap? Why are you attacking us?"
5. The money-junkies loan nation B the money to buy weapons to blow up nation A.
6. The war rages on and eventually one side wins and one sides loses. It doesn't really matter which one, as both Nation A and Nation B are now heavily into debt to the money-junkies.
7. The money-junkies loan nation A the money to repair and replace all they lost in the war. Nation A eventually gets back to the exact same life they had before the war only now they are hopelessly in debt to the money-junkies.
8. The money-junkies loan nation B the money to repair and replace all they lost in the war. Nation B eventually gets back to the exact same life they had before the war only now they are hopelessly in debt to the money-junkies.
9. The money-junkies hire the presstitutes to tell Nation C that Nation D is coming to kill them unless Nation D attacks Nation C first. Donations are made to candidates who are willing to murder a few million people for a piece of the profits.
Do you see how it works now? Do you see why we are always at war? Do you understand that as long as private central bankers control the economies of nations that wars murdering millions of innocents are inevitable?

terrifying robot bird drones may join u.s. air force
If Air Force researchers have their way, the military's next flying robots of doom will be tiny, and indistinguishable from the naked eye from small birds, bats or even insects. And they'll take their first flight in a freaky "Micro-Aviary" in Ohio, where engineers make mini-machines modeled on those creatures of the sky.

Media Silence Is Deafening About Important Gun News
Murder and violent crime rates were supposed to soar after the Supreme Court struck down gun control laws in Chicago and Washington, D.C.
But Armageddon never happened. Newly released data for Chicago shows that, as in Washington, murder and gun crime rates didn't rise after the bans were eliminated -- they plummeted. They have fallen much more than the national crime rate.

Words vs Deeds
Grand-scale hypocrisy in action.
The globalist oligarchs wrapping themselves in the flag and pretending to love America and its core values only promote "democracy" when it concerns countries they want to bomb, invade, or generally force their will upon. Voices can "be heard", leaders will "respond", and "progress" can be made if--and only if--it is on the globalist oligarchs' terms. Everything else is a threat, and must be dealt with as such. Case in point...

The 5 Craziest Soldiers of Fortune To Ever Cash a Paycheck
Some people are reluctantly called to war, either drafted into service or volunteering out of a sense of duty. Other people, well, they just really like fighting.
That's why there is such a thing as the soldier of fortune, the mercenary who'll show up and fight in a war between two countries he didn't even know existed until they offered him a paycheck. It takes a certain breed of person to lead this lifestyle. And that breed is batshit insane.

What's behind the scorn for the Wall Street protests?
It's unsurprising that establishment media outlets have been condescending, dismissive and scornful of the ongoing protests on Wall Street. Any entity that declares itself an adversary of prevailing institutional power is going to be viewed with hostility by establishment-serving institutions and their loyalists. That's just the nature of protests that take place outside approved channels, an inevitable by-product of disruptive dissent: those who are most vested in safeguarding and legitimizing establishment prerogatives (which, by definition, includes establishment media outlets) are going to be hostile to those challenges.

5 Things Our Kids Won't Have In School
If you went to a school classroom 200 years ago, you'd see something remarkably similar to what we have today: A teacher talking to rows of kids sitting at little desks, each pretending to follow along in a textbook. But they're about to. Some of the most iconic staples of school life are about to disappear forever. Things like...

ACLU: 10 years after 9/11, Obama continues illegal Bush-era civil liberties abuses
Glenn Greenwald highlights the ACLU report on secret assassinations, warrantless wiretapping and more on the liberal website Salon.com:
The ACLU decided to use the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attack to comprehensively survey the severe erosion of civil liberties justified in the name of that event, an erosion that -- as it documents -- continues unabated, indeed often in accelerated form, under the Obama administration.
The group today is issuing a report entitled A Call to Courage: Reclaiming Our Liberties Ten Years After 9/11; that title is intended to underscore the irony that political leaders who prance around as courageous warriors against Terrorism in fact rely on one primary weapon -- fear-mongering: the absence of courage -- to vest the government with ever-more power and the citizenry with ever-fewer rights.

Why You Can NOT Believe the "9/11 Conspiracy Theory De-bunkers!"
There are some people who can win any argument or debate, no matter whether they are right or wrong. Lawyers, for example, make really nice livings convincing juries that the most obviously guilty criminals are innocent. So goes the modus operandi of the 9/11 truth de-bunkers out there: wrong or not, they are always right. Or at least, like the lawyers, they appear to be right.
Before I detail the invalid arguments and deceptive techniques of the myth huggers, I have to point out three important fundamental problems that these people have before they even begin to make their claims:

The FBI has built a massive network of spies to prevent another domestic attack. But are they busting terrorist plots—or leading them?
Remember the Washington Metro bombing plot? The New York subway plot? The guys who planned to blow up the Sears Tower? The teenager seeking to bomb a Portland Christmas tree lighting? Each of those plots, and dozens more across the nation, was led by an FBI asset.

Obama Goes All Out For Dirty Banker Deal
My theory is that the Obama administration is trying to secure its 2012 campaign war chest with this settlement deal. If Barry can make this foreclosure thing go away for the banks, you can bet he’ll win the contributions battle against the Republicans next summer.
Which is good for him, I guess. But it seems to me that it might be time to wonder if is this the most disappointing president we’ve ever had.

Video: Printable paper solar panels can power gadgets
A new manufacturing technique may allow for solar panels to be produced simply using nothing more than an ink-jet printer.
The idea behind the MIT team’s approach is that if researchers can perfect a process in which cells can be printed on common everyday materials like cloth and paper, you would suddenly open the technology up to all kinds of possibilities for household use. Cells can be painted on wallpaper or companies can produce solar-powered curtains to harness energy anywhere the sun might shine.

The Backfire Effect
The Misconception: When your beliefs are challenged with facts, you alter your opinions and incorporate the new information into your thinking.
The Truth: When your deepest convictions are challenged by contradictory evidence, your beliefs get stronger.
Once something is added to your collection of beliefs, you protect it from harm. You do it instinctively and unconsciously when confronted with attitude-inconsistent information. Just as confirmation bias shields you when you actively seek information, the backfire effect defends you when the information seeks you, when it blindsides you. Coming or going, you stick to your beliefs instead of questioning them. When someone tries to correct you, tries to dilute your misconceptions, it backfires and strengthens them instead. Over time, the backfire effect helps make you less skeptical of those things which allow you to continue seeing your beliefs and attitudes as true and proper.
The human understanding when it has once adopted an opinion draws all things else to support and agree with it. And though there be a greater number and weight of instances to be found on the other side, yet these it either neglects and despises, or else-by some distinction sets aside and rejects, in order that by this great and pernicious predetermination the authority of its former conclusion may remain inviolate - Francis Bacon

Documents reveal TSA ignored dangers of body scanners
The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) says that is has official documents that reveal the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) deliberately ignored warnings that airport body scanners pose a health risk; the internal documents and email exchanges show that TSA officials brushed aside concerns that employees raised after noticing that a large number of workers had cancer, strokes, and heart disease after working near the body scanners
The TSA's tentacles spread
It's eight months now since the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) abandoned its last pretence of respect for America's constitutional principles, by mandating no traveller may fly in American airspace unless TSA agents first see and/or feel said traveller's genitalia. That's not hyperbole, just a straightforward description of American law playing out in airports every day. And given America's vast size, lack of mass transit and Americans' generally short vacations from work, flying is often the only feasible way US citizens can travel from points A to B. Yet our government has decreed every such flyer submit to search procedures previously associated with playground-haunting paedophiles and prison rapists.
All along, the TSA and its cowardly supporters insist my freedoms be curtailed to assuage their thumbsucking fears: "If you don't like it, don't fly!" Only now, they'll have to expand their craven mantra: "If you don't like it don't fly, don't take a train or trolley, don't ride a bus, don't board a boat or ferry, and don't drive your own car. In fact, don't go anywhere; just stay home and be thankful you live in a free country."

Everything I Want to Do Is Illegal (a pissed-off farmer)
Everything I want to do is illegal. As if a highly bureaucratic regulatory system was not already in place, 9/11 fueled renewed acceleration to eliminate freedom from the countryside. Every time a letter arrives in the mail from a federal or state agriculture department my heart jumps like I just got sent to the principal’s office.
And it doesn’t stop with agriculture bureaucrats. It includes all sorts of government agencies, from zoning, to taxing, to food inspectors. These agencies are the ultimate extension of a disconnected, Greco-Roman, Western, egocentric, compartmentalized, reductionist, fragmented, linear thought process.

The results were a bit shocking. Of the brands, 18% failed to reveal the geographic source of their water, 32% didn’t want to talk about their treatment methods or purity testing, and 13% provide water quality reports without any actual testing results. Not one single bottled water brand scored an “A.” Not one. Gerber Pure Purified Water, Nestle Pure Life Purified Water, and Penta Ultra- Purified Water were the only 3 to get B’s. All the other companies received C’s, D’s, and F’s, which are very poor marks for something you’re paying through the nose for and counting on for purity. Couple these results with the fact that many of the plastics of these bottled waters can leach chemicals, bottled water suddenly doesn’t sound like such a good idea.
Clinton on Syria: Astounding Lies, Zero Legitimacy
Bangkok, Thailand June 18, 2011 – Out of either desperation or immeasurable hubris, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has just attempted to rewrite the last 3 months of history, contradicting her own department’s statements made during the onset of the Syrian unrest.
Hillary Clinton’s brazen lies, unmitigated deception, and her crass insolence is irrefutable evidence that she and the government she works within have abdicated all of their legitimacy. Their open contempt for America’s Constitution while they promote “universal rights” and the will of the “international community” means that we no longer bound to obey them as they are no longer bound to the laws that truly govern our land. The next step of course is undermining these corporations and the puppet institutions that serve them through full-spectrum boycotts and replacing them entirely on a local level.

Marriage: A Short History Lesson
Privatize Marriage Now
The natural outcome of widespread approval of this state of affairs is that governments are now seen as the institution that can legitimately define marriage itself. We now have civil laws deciding what marriage is and what it is not and who can be married and who can not.
For anyone who has an interest in actually defending the historically traditional status of marriage, this power should be viewed as both dangerous and illegitimate. Thanks to the secularizing efforts of Christian reformers and anti-Christian types throughout history, marriage gradually became for many a civil matter only. Many people get "married" in courthouses in totally non-religious ceremonies. Such marriage contracts are in essence no different from run-of-the-mill legal contracts. The fact that we call such unions "marriage" doesn’t make them so. In the Judeo-Christian tradition, marriage is a religious matter. Some government judge can’t make you "married" any more than can your hair dresser. Here, we see that the so-called "traditional" marriage types who nevertheless defend government civil "marriage" (as defined by them) have already sown the seeds of their own defeat. They’ve already removed the institution of marriage from its traditional role and status.

ATF incites terrorism, gives it a Hollywood name; gets hundreds of people shot, killed
Officials at the Department of Justice are in "panic mode," according to multiple sources, as word spreads that congressional testimony next week will paint a bleak and humiliating picture of Operation Fast and Furious, the botched undercover operation that left a trail of blood from Mexico to Washington, D.C.

The '50s: apple pie, Andy Griffith, and MK Ultra
Project MKULTRA, or MK-ULTRA, was the code name for a covert CIA human research program, run by the CIA's Office of Scientific Intelligence. This official U.S. government program began in the early 1950s, continuing at least through the late 1960s, and it used U.S. and Canadian citizens as its test subjects.[1][2][3][4]

The CIA was fascinated by LSD, and thought it a wonder drug that could be used not only to create zombie-like armies, but to drive enemy leaders like Fidel Castro insane. There were few willing subjects in the research — often, LSD was secretly given to a range of people, from CIA employees to prostitutes and the mentally ill. Sometimes, agents even posed as prostitutes and secretly drugged their clients, while fellow agents watched in two-way mirrors.

War is a Racket
"I spent 33 years and 4 months in active service as a member of our country's most agile military force--the Marine Corps. I served in all commissioned ranks from second lieutenant to Major General. And during that period I spent most of my time being a high-class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and for the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer for capitalism. I suspected I was part of a racket all the time. Now I am sure of it. Like all members of the military profession I never had an original thought until I left the service."

Decline of Empires
Chalmers Johnson, author of Blowback, Sorrows of Empire and Nemesis: The Last Days of the American Republic , talks about the similarities in the decline of the Roman and Soviet empires and the signs that the U.S. empire is exhibiting the same symptoms: overextension, corruption and the inability to reform.
Previously released bin Laden photos
There is no question that there are serious differences is the physical characteristics of the people in these photos. The fundamental argument against the implications of this fact is, in a nutshell, "they wouldn't do that". That argument is based on faith and nationalist fervor engrained socially through popular culture, not on fact, recorded history, psychology, or observable human behavior.
A glimpse of CIA tactics: Portray Saddam as gay, make fake bin Laden videos
During planning for the 2003 invasion of Iraq, the CIA's Iraq Operations Group kicked around a number of ideas for discrediting Saddam Hussein in the eyes of his people.
One was to create a video purporting to show the Iraqi dictator having sex with a teenage boy, according to two former CIA officials familiar with the project.
“It would look like it was taken by a hidden camera,” said one of the former officials. “Very grainy, like it was a secret videotaping of a sex session.”
The idea was to then “flood Iraq with the videos,” the former official said.
The spy agency’s Office of Technical Services collaborated on the ideas, which also included inserting fake “crawls” -- messages at the bottom of the screen -- into Iraqi newscasts.
The agency actually did make a video purporting to show Osama bin Laden and his cronies sitting around a campfire swigging bottles of liquor and savoring their conquests with boys, one of the former CIA officers recalled, chuckling at the memory. The actors were drawn from “some of us darker-skinned employees,” he said.

Culture shock: Iran
From the LA Times travel blog:
“Travel writers love to help Americans understand other places,” Steves said when I interviewed him this week. “And if there’s a place we don’t understand, it’s Iran. It’s pathetic how little we know about it: the hostage crisis and the name Khomeini.”
Steves said he was invited by a U.S. chapter of the United Nations Assn. to help foster American understanding of Iran. “The only thing I could think of with impact was to go there and make a TV show. It’s more difficult to kill people when you know them,” he said

Safe House Transforms Into Impenetrable Concrete Box
The Safe House is something of a paradox: — a house that is light, airy and open to the outside thanks to windows both numerous and large, and yet almost impossible to break into. How is this done? By the magic power of Transformers.

HuffPo: 9/11 Responders To Be Warned They Will Be Screened By FBI's Terrorism Watch List
WASHINGTON -- A provision in the new 9/11 health bill may be adding insult to injury for people who fell sick after their service in the aftermath of the 2001 Al Qaeda attacks, The Huffington Post has learned.
The tens of thousands of cops, firefighters, construction workers and others who survived the worst terrorist assault in U.S. history and risked their lives in its wake will soon be informed that their names must be run through the FBI’s terrorism watch list, according to a letter obtained by HuffPost.
Any of the responders who are not compared to the database of suspected terrorists would be barred from getting treatment for the numerous, worsening ailments that the James Zadroga 9/11 Health And Compensation Law was passed to address.

Best Way to Raise Campaign Money? Investigate Banks
This is about as perfect an example of how American politics works as you’ll ever see...
Put it this way. If the banks had to pay what they actually owed – from the registration taxes/fees they avoided by using the electronic registry system MERS to the money taken from investors in toxic mortgage-backed securities to the fees and payments stolen from homeowners via predatory loan practices and illegal foreclosures – they would probably all go out of business. That’s how much money is at stake here: the very future of financial giants like Bank of America and Citi and JP Morgan Chase is hanging to a very significant degree on the decisions of politicians like Miller.

Nuclear storm warnings?
White House Science Advisor John Holdren and Sir John Beddington, Science Advisor to British Prime Minister David Cameron, in a recent joint article "Celestial Storm Warnings" published in the New York Times, warned that a solar flare from the Sun could cause a great geomagnetic storm, with catastrophic consequences for the United States and the world. A great geomagnetic storm would generate a powerful electromagnetic pulse (EMP) that could destroy electronic systems and collapse all the critical infrastructures--power grids, communications, transportation, banking and finance, food and water--that sustain modern civilization, and the lives of millions. Holdren and Beddington write reassuringly that "work to protect our societies is well underway.[sic]"

Nobel Prize Winner Luc Montagnier Supports Science of Homeopathy
(NaturalNews) Dr. Luc Montagnier, the French virologist who won the Nobel Prize in 2008 for discovering the AIDS virus, has surprised the scientific community with his strong support for homeopathic medicine.
In a remarkable interview published in Science magazine of December 24, 2010, (1) Professor Luc Montagnier, has expressed support for the often maligned and misunderstood medical specialty of homeopathic medicine. Although homeopathy has persisted for 200+ years throughout the world and has been the leading alternative treatment method used by physicians in Europe, (2) most conventional physicians and scientists have expressed skepticism about its efficacy due to the extremely small doses of medicines used.
Montagnier affirms that these new observations will lead to novel treatments for many common chronic diseases, including but not limited to autism, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis.
In the new interview in Science, Montagnier also expressed real concern about the unscientific atmosphere that presently exists on certain unconventional subjects such as homeopathy, "I am told that some people have reproduced Benveniste's results, but they are afraid to publish it because of the intellectual terror from people who don't understand it."

The Big Idea: Organ Regeneration
More than 100,000 people are waiting for organ transplants in the U.S. alone; every day 18 of them die. Not only are healthy organs in short supply, but donor and patient also have to be closely matched, or the patient's immune system may reject the transplant. A new kind of solution is incubating in medical labs: "bioartificial" organs grown from the patient's own cells. Thirty people have received lab-grown bladders already, and other engineered organs are in the pipeline.

Vitamin D prevents cancer, MS, and more
(NaturalNews) The reign of censorship and suppression against vitamin D is now coming to an end. Even though the Institute of Medicine (IOM) and many institutions leading the cancer industry (including the ACS) have intentionally tried to downplay the ability of vitamin D to prevent cancer, a new study appearing in the journal Anticancer Research lays out the simple, powerful truth about vitamin D that we've been teaching at NaturalNews for years: A typical adults needs 4,000 - 8,000 IUs of vitamin D each day to prevent cancer, MS and type-1 diabetes, not the ridiculously low 400 - 800 IUs recommended by the U.S. government.

John Pilger's "The War You Don't See" pt. 1
This film investigates how the media has reported war, from the First World War to the present day. Fox News, MSNBC, BBC, ITV and American network news, such as CBS News are included.
John Pilger, the winner of journalism's top awards for both press and broadcasting, including academy awards in the UK and US, questions the role of the media in war. In "The War You Don't See", Pilger, himself a renowned correspondent, asks whether mainstream news has become an integral part of war-making.

Glenn Beck's Secret
*Update*
Rolling Stone: Glenn Beck rips off Alex Jones
Rolling Stone Magazine has posted a part two to follow up on its profile of Alex Jones earlier this week, a feature that also appears in the print edition of the publication.
In this article, writer Alexander Zaitchik asks if Glenn Beck has been ripping off Alex Jones by using Jones’ information but then injecting it with his own lies and spin. After listing seven different aspects in which Beck is charged with ripping off Jones, Zaitchik concludes that the Fox News host has indeed borrowed Jones’ material to create “bastardized versions of theories and facts originally found on the Alex Jones Show.”

Last July the Washington Post published a three-part story on "the huge security buildup in the United States after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks." This week, the Post published "Monitoring America," the fourth installment of its "Top Secret America" series, describing security efforts at the local level.

The top-secret world the government created in response to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 has become so large, so unwieldy and so secretive that no one knows how much money it costs, how many people it employs, how many programs exist within it or exactly how many agencies do the same work....
After nine years of unprecedented spending and growth, the result is [that] the system put in place to keep the United States safe is so massive that its effectiveness is impossible to determine.

TORONTO (CP) - While people may think they're doing a good deed for the environment when they reuse water bottles for anything from orange juice in a bagged lunch to a week's worth of water refills from the office water cooler, researchers say they could be risking their health. Dangerous bacteria and potentially toxic plastic compounds have been found in the types of water bottles typically reused in classrooms and workplaces countrywide.

Dear Rachel Maddow (an open letter)
I think that maybe success has spoiled Rachel Maddow. The world must look very pretty from inside your TV studio. From here where I do my own daily radio show I look down on a homeless encampment. 1/3 are veterans. Many are woman and children. The only notice the government gives to them is to make sure the few tourists able to stomach TSA fondling at the airports don’t have to look at them.
I think that maybe your life has become a bit too sheltered, and that before you start condemning other people’s concerns about life in the United States, that you need to get out there into the back roads and take a long walk around the place to see what is really going on and why people are so angry right now.
Because based on your comments last night, you don’t have a clue.

The disgusting media spin on the AZ shootings
A full scale demonization campaign against conservatives, free speech and the Second Amendment on behalf of Democrats and the establishment media in the wake of Saturday’s shootings has sensationally backfired after it emerged that gunman Jared Lee Loughner was a left-wing, pot-smoking liberal who was into dressing like the grim reaper and dabbling in the occult.
How often have you witnessed a “tear partier,” an anti-government activist or a conservative engage in any of the following behaviors, all of which are confirmed to have been conducted by Loughner. (1) (2) (3) (4)
- Burning the American flag
- Being a “left-winger” and a “liberal”
- Smoking pot
- Having long hair
- Dressing up as the grim reaper
- Dabbling in the occult by worshipping a replica of a human skull
- Expressing the desire to be a woman
- Describing Karl Marx’s Communist Manifesto as a favorite book
Speaking to Fox News, the father of the 9-year-old girl killed as a result of Loughner’s rampage commendably labeled the tragic events a “random act” and said that the death of his daughter should not be exploited to revoke freedoms.

US says too much fluoride causing splotchy teeth
ATLANTA – In a remarkable turnabout, federal health officials say many Americans are getting too much fluoride, and it's causing spots on children's teeth and perhaps other, more serious problems.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced plans Friday to lower the recommended level of fluoride in drinking water for the first time in nearly 50 years, based on a fresh review of the science.

This is another example of how nothing is considered "legitimate" unless the government says it is. Anyone speaking out against forced medication via fluoride has been labeled a tin-foil-hat-wearing kook.
